EquineLUX saddle pads and half pads with two large (full-size) pockets for shims can accommodate both specialized and DIY shims for additional cushioning and/or for saddle fitting. Most importantly, full-size pockets are designed to contain large shims which can be 2 inches longer and 1 inch wider the area covered by your saddle. Thus, EquineLUX saddle pads and half pads guarantee an even distribution of rider's weight to minimize a chance of pressure points development.
If you take a look into one of the pockets, you will notice how the textured surface of the air-knit spring mesh textile prevents shims (inserts) with rough surfaces like foam, felt, or wool fibers to move around or crumple. These materials literally adhere to the fabric when a rider is in the saddle. Moreover, they can be easily inserted and removed at any time through to the wide pocket openings.
HR-foam inserts (shims)* for EquineLUX saddle pads with pockets (compartments) can also be cut into 2 or 3 pieces. This technique can let you put them into pockets of the saddle pad in a way to adjust the saddle fit by providing extra cushioning or lift the saddle where it is required.
